But the fluidamper lines up with the corner not the "T"... the stock balancer is dead on "T"... is this normal?

Are we concluding that the fluidampr is advancing timing maybe 2 degrees?

The mark is off by around 2 degrees... at least in my particular case.. just double check yours if you use it. If you dont realize it you will think you jumped timing if you look at your cams to balancer marks.

Really it doesnt hurt anything other than that. You can remark, account for the difference whem you time or use the cams as your timing reference.
Put stock crank on to verify im not delusional.. its on point. Fluidampr was not the nicest with there reply to my question saying that there is basically no way theu could be off.

They did offer to let me send it back but if it matched their specs id pay shipping both ways.

Better to just mark this balancer where its supposed to be

Are you doing a full rotation when you install each one? Or just sliding it on and off? It’s probably the angle of the photo but the oem pulley looks like it’s past the T mark to me.

I'd mark the balancer where TDC is supposed to be like you plan to do. It's not really needed for anything except adjusting the timing and if you get a timing light with an advance knob you can just go off of the cams. I've always gone off the cams anyways because its easier to see.

Fluidamper may take responsibility for their mistake. You have to remember 90% of the people telling them there is an issue with the part they received are just people who have no business working on cars and are installing it wrong possibly messing the part up. They don't know that you know what you're doing and that there actually is a problem. Also 90% is probably being very generous. It's probably more like 97%

Its the angle... i even put the 2 pulleys together with bolts in all 4 holes and the timing marks are not in same spot

Just to show again.. stock lines up and whe i jig it up fluidampr is off. Like statedi can just mark it but for the money it suprises me
