Fix Compression Surge

So im pretty sure i have compression surge, it sounds just like it and lately has been getting much worse. It started out just at heavy throttle in 4th and 5th and now is doing it in 3rd as well. Im going to try and get a video of the car when under boost so i can make sure that it really is compression surge but im almost positive that it is so.

you mean compressor surge? What turbo are you using and what mods are done to your intake/intercooler system.

I have a similar problem...I think it is compressor surge but I don't know.

yea i meant compressor surge.. Im running the stock turbo i believe.. its a td05h. Manual boost controller, FMIC, 2g maf with a 1g-2g adapter harness, hks bov, walbro 255 fuel pump, 450cc injectors. Guy i bought the car from said it he had a base map tune done at a shop in salt lake, but eventually i want to go with a better tune system but dont have the money to do so at the moment. I actually think i just blew the turbo, i am going to pull it tomorrow and see what kind of damage has been done.

Well i pulled the turbo and found nothing wrong with the turbo. There is no shaft play and spins fine. I actually found the problem, the underside of my exhaust mani has a huge crack in the bottom and the new gasket i used between the exhaust mani and the turbo housing was messed up again.. so replaced the mani and the gaskets and sounds great yet again, but this time i used much better gaskets.
