Hi!
I just put on a 14b turbo, yay!
Im getting a wierd flurtering at a negative psi
i have a knock off blow off valve and i tapped intp the line for my wastegate
my blow off valve seems to b making more noise.
any thouths would be nice.
I assumed it was a boost leak thats being wierd becuase

it directly coexists with a whistling noise

A anyone know where i can get a j pipe nipple? Perferably with thread.

P.s i did this on my phone, forgive any errors

The noise starts a whislte and after i let off flutters. I thought it was my turbo whislting amd them surging

Nope...the BOV should have it's own dedicated line from the intake manifold.


Also, use of a cell phone is no excuse for breaking the site's grammar policy.
 
Yes, BOV line from the intake after the throttle body. Wastegate should be before the throttle body as close to the turbo outlet as possible.

The barb fittings can be found at local parts stores. Like stated just drill and tap to fit. Be sure to remove or take whatever precautions necessary to make sure shavings don't get into any part of the engine or turbo.


If it is compressor surge then your bov is adjusted too "hard". There are a lot of different ways people adjust their bov. A quick search will give you the idea.

If you don't already know how then learn to do a blt . (Correctly) Don't just assume anything.
