Compression Surge

I was having alotof compression surge with my old HKS SSQV BOV. So me think the spring might be bad. I went out and baught new verison HKS SSQV BOV, but im still having compression surge. What could possibly cause this?

Im about to put 16g setup on and do not want to mess it up.

is the seal inside the bov flange leaking? can you turn the bov around by hAND?

^. Is the bov hooked up right? I know it isn't hard but its possible.

No its hard as shit to move the BOV. Its brand new.

Did you use the filter that comes with the bov? with your hood open and reving using the tb does the bov open?

Now i never change the filter. And I mostly hear the surge when opening the tb manually. The BOV does open but it surge's like a bi***.

Id never heard of compressor surge from a Boost Leak but My ISC came loose. A bolt fell out from vibrations im guessing. I had compressor surge bad in an auto between shifts it would hold 13 and jump to 17psi between shifts.

I heard the leak and further investigation found the remaining bolt backed halfway out. I kept getting an idle issue CEL and couldnt figure out why At any rate I supposed if you have a BL big enough and close enough to the TB it could cause this. I DO KNOW that a crack around the wastegate flapper can cause creeping/surging issues as well.

+1 it causes hellish idle surge, I don't know about compressor surge from the WG flapper though.

This happend thats why I stated that. I have a pic in another thread. The Boost builds at a faster rate than it leaks by the flapper causing a fluctuation or surge. The boost gauge would try to hold at 10-12psi and jump erradically. Not stating this is the problem just throwing out ideas.

im also unable to boost over 11psi. maybe ill throw the 16g on and see if the problem goes away.

Man it's problem after problem. When shifting around 3000 rpm i engage the clutch it jumps up another 1000 rpm?

Im sorry to keep asking everyone these damn questions.
