We would have ran more boost but was wasting too much time trying to get the Synapse dialed in. Had a boost leak that was progressing through out the session so something is starting to slowly let loose, haven't figured out where its at yet, will get a blt back on it soon. Over all I'm happy with numbers, better than I expected for such low boost Our horsepower curve had solid choppy line at about 5.5k and would not make any more power after that which was odd, we think the large SMIM coupled with stock Mirage TB and stock cams had something to do with it. We had the timing at 21 but would not make anymore power with higher timing even though we had no knock what so ever which also seemed a bit odd. I think the car just wants more boost and more flow then everything should be on track.

Will have the sheet up soon.

Oh I know, I'm completely expecting 350whp at 20psi when I get the cams installed, they are the delta hks 272/272 grind with hks gears. I think people under estimate this turbo too much, even me ha.

Updated with graph.

Found why we were losing boost, my dumbass didn't put the internal wastegate mounting bolts back in the compressor housing because I didn't think they went all the way threw:ohdamn: Also a coupler was slowly coming loose thus the creating the steady loss.

You going back for another dyno run?
Can't wait to swap my colt once the motor blows. That thing much move quick.

Oh yeah, this was just a baseline run to make sure everything was good to go. I'm installing a custom n/t 1g throttle body right now and just waiting on the cam tensioner tool to come in so I can get the cams done then off to the dyno again sometime next month.

A member here on tuners did 288 on cams and a 20g untuned(2g)..So there is alot more left in your engine for more power.

I made 297 whp and 250tq with my 20g on bolt in 272s exhaust, un re-wired 255, FMIC and STOCK injectors.. Stock 99 ecu.. Boost spiked to 14 psi and dropped to 12 or so by redline..

Not bad though, cant wait to see some better numbers for you!

Thanks guys! 297 is very impressive for stock injectors at that psi, I'm confident I could have been there as well but everything we were making in tune was getting lost by the progressive leak shown on the dyno graph, eventually we would of had no boost to work with LOL, was a fun trying tho. Can't wait to get back on it!

Update:

Went 340whp/311tq at 20psi. The crappy Synapse wastegate was giving me sparatic boost issues and such. Expecting much better results from a Tial.

What turbine/hotside are you running? Your numbers have got me excited as i have a 20g ready to go on. Great job!!

Update!

Don't mind the crappy cell phone pics.:coy:

Very nice. If you have 2.5" intercooler piping then there is no point for you to go anything bigger then stock 1g (turbo or nonturbo 60mm) throttle body. Crower 272s should do the trick for you. You can run then with stock springs safely to 7500 rpms and should make power to about there. Usually crower cams are right on so no cam adjustment will be needed but nevertheless they are a good idea to have just in case.

I lost an injector on the dyno so we were not able to push the car, we only got a few runs in at 25psi. The injectors are at FIC right now being worked. I already have the Delta 272/272 HKS grind. And the throttle body is from throttlebodys.com, it's the NT set-up, Bored to 63mm + half shaft mod = 65mm flow. 2.5"=63.5mm so I should be good.

This was a while ago at 20psi. untuned.

For sure, and you wont have near as much lag as me, the 10cm housing is a bit over kill on my set-up right now.

When do you hit full boost?or start building boost? I also have a Hahn 20 with the t3 housing but it's going on my 2.4l single head .

I'm sure there are some things I can do to clear up the lag but there are no boost leaks or exhaust leaks and the health of the motor is shown through high 11 AFRs and 18-19* timing no knock. So don't let my laggy set-up detour you LOL

Not to mention tuning is not complete and it is still very rich in the lower rpm range.
