:cry:I second the altitude notion! But the times look good. Get that baby some colder air and it will be running like a champ. Also from the time sounds like it was some good driving:thumb:

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Like I said, that was the best outta 5 runs, and I just updated my reaction time, it was a .14 not a .17, on that run I got lucky on the launch it was perfect. I actually pulled half a car on the STI that ended up beating me. I starting breaking up in the upper RPM's of 3rd, Im sure being tuned even at only 15lbs would make a world of difference.

Thanks, been hitting the track for about 4 years on and off.

Snow my cousin has an eclipse like yours totaly stock an without DSMlink hes gotten the car to run 1/4 in 12.53. So your doing good.

No way homes, there is absolutely no way. Not even high 13's stock. Shit, maybe not even low 14's stock on a t25. So 12.5? BS

Great driving! and a respectable run too. Hell i know guys with a lot more money in their cars that can't cut a 1.8 60ft in their AWD's (I can do it on my gs-t on slicks). It looks like you're some one who's actually using every bit of what your car will give you. A good driver is 75% of what's needed to run good times. Horsepower helps too :p

A good tune always helps, and i just noticed that this wasn't your first tiem at the strip, but good driving either way! Keep us updated on your new times and what parts got you there. IT's good info for new guys coming up and thinking they need X amount of dollars to run good times and get mad when 5k later they are still in the 13's. At least this is a good "starting point" for what most peoples first basic mods would be and they could follow or try and duplicate the times posted in your thread. Of course as usuall ona friday i've been drinking a bit so i hope the grammar is decent and i make some sort of sense :)

Yep, thats right stock 1g 12.53. An people say you cant get 400+ hp off an evo 16g.

No, stock 1G will not even break 13's. And even if you did squeeze 400HP out of a E3 16G (which would also have every other bolt on in the world for the engine), that is NOT a stock 1G, so I dont know where you were going with that statement. To help you better understand, it would take that 400HP E3 16G to run that 12.53 you claim a stock 1G will run.

Show us a dyno pull indicating the car is at "stock" hp levels, and then a video of it at the track running a 12.53 and your boy will be a record holder for fastest stock 1G DSM in the universe.

13.4 with a FWD here. At 16psi 14b, stock fuel injectors, hacked 1g maf, and stock sidemount. Don't second guess your car because of what your heard. What if I could have launched at 5500rpms! I do think you had a very decent launch. But, you spoke of breaking up and not a good tune. These two statements could easily mean 1 second in the 1/4 mile at this stage. Your driving is not the problem. You did good. Your car didn't.

His did got I seen the time slip, an the 16G is on my car. its passable if you know how to shift an got the right tires. I seen people run 9 sec on a 16G an people say that cant be done either.

A stock 07 corvette can not even pull a 12.5 in a 1/4 mile. So please stop filling this post full of BS and making all the newbies think there car can run 12.5 stock. Im sorry but 200 hp in a 2800 pound car will no way run that maybe your thinking an 1/8th my track buddy.

What did you launch it at?

To tell you the truth I dont really know, I just kept bumping the throttle. I still have the 3 bolt rear end so I dont want to launch real hard on it.

Just throwin an update out there. Currently dont have this car, I got rid of my DD and had to drive this around all stripped out. I bought another 90 awd talon shell and put this drivetrain in it. I just put a FMIC on the new shell, but I can tell the added weight slows it down. I would have loved to of tried it on the old car. Oh well, Im taken this one to Bradenton on the 16th and see what it runs. My bet is even with the FMIC I think itll be only a little faster than the one that was gutted.
