I guess we can call it Greg Horn style thenEither way it appears to work pretty well. I've had issues with improperly hacked mafs before (messed with the screw) and there are no issues with the maf in this configuration. Thanks again Phil for sharing.
Anytime! It does work really well, it was also in both of my Laser FWD's after I had converted to 2G in the Talon......Greg was a good guy, kinda along the same lines as Dave W. Always wanted to help make me faster, even as I approached his 12.40. When I was at 12.49, he was the one that randomly asked where my timing was set. And, I said I had no idea, never checked it. It turns out, I ran down to [email protected] with a best MPH of 108.1 with my base timing set at 10* ATDC!!!!!!!!!! So 15* retarded off stock setting! I don't know why it was set like that. The next time I went back to the strip, I had removed my A/C compressor, bracket, and belt, and bumped the timing a FULL 20* to 10* BTDC and I hit [email protected]!
That day people were asking how the hell did you go from 12.49 to 12.29 like that...because the car "appeared" the same as the last time at the strip...my reply was that I "played" with timing a little....hehe.....
So, Greg, being one of the guys right out of the gate quicker than me on the 14b as I tried to head toward the record at the time, helped me go quicker than him by .11......and ironically, the same way Dave W. helped me edge him by .02......crazy! Anyway, just thought I'd give a little on that....should copy it into the "history" thread actually.
