Tonight was my first time to the track with my new Big28.

My mods are: Intake, Full exhaust, HKS BOV, Homemade UICP, Boost Controller, 190lph Walbro, Ported FPBig28 at 17psi, Ported o2 and manifold.

This was my first time launching on this turbo and my clutch was slipping a little bit. My best 60' of the night was 2.04 :thumbdown

Here's the third run of the night, the clutch slip a little off the line and after banging second
60' 2.042
1/8 8.724
MPH 77.76
1/4 13.703
MPH 98.82

The fourth/last run of the night, leaned out the WOT knob one click (5%). I had a little clutch slip off the line.
60' 2.119
1/8 8.778
MPH 78.89
1/4 13.600
MPH 101.85

Overall I'm impressed with the results. With just a clutch upgrade I should be able to pull around a 13.3 :thumb:

The slipping clutch was causing those 60ft's, otherwise I think you would have hit low low 13s.

Good run...:thumb:

I have the same mods.....or somewhat.

I ran comparable.

13.40 @ 100.5
1.82 60'
8.55 @ 80

I was on 18 psi, pump gas, full weight.
I kinda felt I could have gotten a better Launch=60', but o-well.

I also kinda feel like my stock clutch slips in the mid range, not on the launch, Like it should pull Harder than it does.

Might just be timing/knock/NO FMIC related though.

Will see soon.

Congrats on decent times with minimal tuning.

i have very comparable mods to all of you and you guys even have the 190 WALBORO i have the 180 3000gt vr4 pump but i rewired it with 10 gauge wire and my base fuel pressure is 51-52 PSI and my car runs like ass for the time being ever since i put that pump in... I backfire either due to fuel cut or being to rich course i only run 15-16 psi and you guys run 17-18 ... and i just installed an ACT 2600 clutch with lightened flywheel.... i would love to get 13.6s or even 13.3s... Can u guys help me out ??? my driving is great my last time at the track was 2 weeks ago at 16 psi with a dying clutch with out the act 2600 or fuel pump. i ran 14.1 @ 97.0 with a 1.908 60ft. P.s I have absolutely no boost leaks ive boost leak tested 5 times... any ideas???? elevation is only 1200-1300 feet. ... my car ran great before the fuel pump and rewire mods...

Turbo Monkey, Your car is definetely running rich with no fuel control. If you up the boost to 17-18 you'll add more air to all the fuel thats being dumped in and you get a better A/F ratio.

BTW, I just pulled the clutch restrictor plate and added a stainless clutch line. The clutch grabs so quick now, best 20 bucks spent to date. I'm going back to the track this Thursday, so I'll let you know if I pull that 13.3 :D

I actually didnt make it out last week. I'm looking to go this Thursday, I'll post the results :thumb:

I went back to the track last weekend.

13.44 @ 99.63-1/4
8.52 @ 82

Same set-up comparable track cond.'s

Time to do Dodgemod the BOV, and pour in the fuel.

Its crazy how we are all in the same area.

Good luck to all.

Well I finally made it back to the track tonight. Since last time I installed an ACT 2100. I mixed in 3.5 gallons of 100octane with my 4-5 gallons of 93. I did some datalogging on the way to the track and at 20psi I had steady timing advance but it just didnt feel like 20psi should've been. All of my runs were 17-20psi, and I think my best was at 17psi. Anyway, here is my best run of the night.

60' 1.812
1/8 8.572
MPH 79.14
1/4 13.476
MPH 100.53

I was really hoping you made it into the 12's.

O-well 13.4 isn't bad.

Just sux that 14B's have gone faster on side mounts than Big28's.

I still need a FMIC, and NOW my stock clutch is toast.

SOON !!!!

Dammit.

I'm going to head back to the track after I put the water injection back on, I just need a new solenoid. I still doubt I'll break into the 12's but maybe if I run straight 100 octane and do some tuning on the way there I'll be close. I'll post the results in a week or two. :thumb:

ahhhhh

all this track talk with your new setups are pissing me off...LOL

my engine is in that lovely 1000 mile break in period so i cant get on it at all, the worst part is ive been out of town for a month so ive only been able to put 75 miles on the car so far....ahhhhh, i wanna get to the track sooooo bad

keep up the good work everyone, i love people with the smaller/quicker spooling turbos pulling good times...just lets everyone know u dont have to spend 1200 on a big turbo to get into the 12's
