Hey guys!

I previously hit up the dyno and made 579 @ 27psi.

Well, last night I decided to go out to a local test and tune for a shakedown pass to see how the car does!

I DROVE my car to the track (45min), and DROVE my car home! I was on my street radials, so I just wanted to basically make a single pass and do a log to see how its running off the dyno.

I set up the 2 step, launched at just 5500 built about 10psi.

Heres how the slip turned out!

60 - 2.049
330 - 4.945
1/8 - 7.234
MPH - 110.24
1000 - 9.206
1/4 - 10.852
MPH - 141.13

I was pleased with the MPH, at 579hp and 27psi 141mph isn't all that bad! My car isn't a gutted tin can either, its a FULL interior street car, insured/registered. It has a full 10pt cage, a a2w setup with a 40l tank etc. Its probably fairly heavy.

Im glad with the way the car went down the track, perfectly straight, still as always shifts amazing, it was a blast to drive without having of made a pass for about a year since last years setup!

Im just glad to get back out at the track, and next time out I will have my QTP's on that i've had sitting in my garage for months! I think with another 4-5psi and getting that 60ft down, I can do much better!

That's awesome, what kind of tires?
Setup info?

You def. have a lot of room left with that 60ft.

Congrats! Looks like a nine second ride to me with a bit more seat time:thumb:

mt et streets 235/60/15, very heavy, not a good tire unless your limited to a radial (rather then bias ply). Would not recommend.

Full setup is in my profile!

Thanks guys!

Canada getting busy :) that's what I like to see. Canada has it's FAST AS HELL dsm's also LOL. Nice run!! The 60 foot can be improved A LOT and you'll be flying.

Congrats on the time - especially for the first time out on a new setup. I checked out your mod list and well it looks pretty solid and capable. You have a couple of things that I wouldn't mind for myself :thumb:

Also, I sent you a pm

Awesome man! Glad to see it all worked out. Hows the tune looking now?

Log of the run looks spot on! I had a few bugs during the year that I finally got all sorted out, and its really starting to pay off. It just felt so glad to finally make a pass! Its hauling for the boost that I was at during the pass, can't wait for more boost :)

Thanks again guys!

I've learned its not all about peak HP numbers, but powerband and keeping the car in the powerband during the run, as well as quick/proper shifting.

I am actually very suprised with the powerband of this turbo with the 2.0L as well, its friggen awesome! I hit 27psi by 5900, and rev to 8700 so it dosen't drop out of boost between shifts, and Im making 510hp by 6000rpm. I launch the car and its right in the powerband then It just rips all the way down the track, I think a better 60 will make a world of difference!

:)

141? wow...and you drove it to and most important was able to drive it home? thats awesome dude. Congrats!!!!!!!

Yes sir, drove to the track, then drove home! This thing easily has more mph and a much better ET in it, stay tuned ;)

Holy ET batman... That is a ####ing sick car 10 second @ 510 horses on street tires with a noob 60ft. I mean I really suck at launching and those are the types of 60 fts I can hit. I am saying 9s when you get used to her and cut .5 or so off those ETs. Hell mid-low 9s with some slicks....

Yea you get your launch dialed in and cut some 1.5's you will be in the 9's no problem. Nice times

The different is day and night once you bolt up some QTP or DR tires. 9s ET for sure with more boost and tires.
