Hey all,
So i've decided to set aside $300 for new intercooler pipes.
I've been looking all over
Dejon powerhouse has the three pipes i need

Upper IC 'L' Pipe- $105
UPPER INTERCOOLER 'S' PIPE -$90
LOWER INTERCOOLER 'S' PIPE -$70
Subtotal -$265

That's not terribly bad but i've been looking at ebay and i can get the same stuff for $155 Upper Lower Intercooler Pipe KIT Eclipse Talon DSM 2G : eBay Motors (item 190314240884 end time Mar-09-10 13:01:13 PST)
Can you confirm if that is an okay thing to buy instead?

Also looking on ebay i see a whole kit with the IC itself, can you also confirm if this would be okay to buy? It's cheaper even yet. with a BOV that i would not use :p
95-99 Eclipse Talon 2G 4G63 Intercooler Piping Kit +BOV : eBay Motors (item 170453904562 end time Mar-10-10 14:00:00 PST)

Thank you all so much for your help as i am a newb and trying to make my car run smoothly! :D

So you think that kit through that brand (cxs racing)/ ETD motors is okay? i see that it says fits tdo5 turbo but call if need stock stuff, but they have no phone number. how do i go about doing that?

Anyone able to find any info on the etd motors?

the one on EBAY is very similar if not the same as the one sold by Punishment Racing. Check out their site----they have a phone number:cool:

If you want a whole new fmic vr speed has a nice one for like 315 or something like that. It's short route, core is big. I'm going to be getting one in a couple weeks

alot of people on this forum that run ebay intercoolers run the ssac one which is also a short route kit. Another cheap option that has been proven over 400hp.

The ssac kit and the vr speed kit I believe are almost identcal. But vr speed I've heard has great customer service so i'll spend the few extra dollars and go with them and their fmic

I currently have an ebay intercooler and this thing is great. I paid it like 80$ from etdmotor or something like that 3 years ago. Im pushing 24 psi with a 50 trim and got still great cooling result. I also bought a DIY piping kit from ebay for like 60$ 3 years ago, i've made the cuts myself and then make them welded at a shop. Great kit for not much money.

VRSF kit for the win! If you get it, it'll be their revised version that's even easier to install.

If your running on a tight budget, go with CXRacing or Punishment Racings budget short rout FMIC kit, comes with everything you need + BOV. Good luck!

everything is bolt on, no mods needed. call Punishment is a vendor here on DSMTuners.com so make sure to check them out!!!

Yeah I got the ssac one when it was just coming out like 3 years ago or so. Kit was nice but the vr kit is def an upgrade wise for ease of installment. But ssac was not hard to install by any means. Just the missing coupler and two t clamps made it a bit more frustrating.
