First gear feels sluggish?

hey guys, so long story short just like title says, when im in 1st gear, and i start from a complete stop, it just feels weak. itll go if i give it gas, but once it gets to a certain point it starts to hesitate almost, and then when i hit a certain rpm full boost kicks in and shoots me off like a damn rocket. all the other gears have smooth acceleration. ive searched all over these forums and havent found a single thing other than cleaning my MAF sensor. which i will be doing soon. any other tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Check belt timing and other timing issues.
Check fuel delivery-like filter and rail pressure.
