Does anyone know if Ceddy is still around doing his thing? Havent seen a post from him for a long time

I got a hold of him about 8 months ago. A little difficult to get a hold of but he is still selling his CeddyMods but he's not updating them anymore. It is what it is and you either live with it or get an Evo ECU and get Tephra. Those are the options. I'm pretty happy with CeddyMods if that helps in any way.

yes very helpful, was trying to figure out if they had been updated to include the 1 byte load, seen some threads on here and other places copying and pasting the code into roms for 1 byte load, having to change mut table values and stuff in evoscan to log it all. as well as the emissions stuff which would be great. but those posts are all from 2009-2011.

Finally got a wideband installed. Is there anything I need to change in ceddy mods to be able to take advantage of it? If not, how exactly does ceddy mods hit the AFR goals in the AFR tables?

I wired the analog signal wire from my MTX-L Plus into the rear o2 sensor input wire on my ecu. Just used to doing that with DSM Link. Trying to figure out this ecu flash thing before I just say to hell with it and get DSM Link. Never to old to learn something new.

Anyone want to walk me through using map tracer to show logged KPA instead of load when I have it display my SD VE Change?

Getting close to having my table built out, but I've been doing it with load displayed, and my load is usually 10-12points lower than KPA logged.

Guess no one uses Evo Scan these days. Evoscan forums are gone. Evoscan wont even respond to my emails. Really would be just as well off data logging with my scan tool and it has a touch screen.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I saw as well. It was quickly abandoned as soon as it started

However, it had a much larger following on evolution forums. Expand your search to include those results, or try focusing Google into 3g eclipse forums or Evo forums

The Evo 8 and 3g eclipse have very similar ecus, as strange as it may seem I recall many 3rd gen eclipses with Evo head swap with turbo and even a gsx rear end for AWD

The info is out there. It's just out dated like the dsm platform itself.

Yeah i've got an account on Evolution-M the information is still lacking. Most of the stuff that I have been able to find I found a few hours after posting questions.

But everything I can find in regards to evoscan does not present much information about the map tracer function. Looking into just purchasing another software that can do it. I know Excel and Openoffice Calc can do map tracing, but the one time I figured it out, it was a pain in the dick.

As much as I want to learn new stuff, I may just trash can the ecuflash idea, and get link instead.

Yes, to eliminate the MAF you need another way to measure the airflow. That is typically using a forms or speed/density calculations. You'll need a Intake Air Temp sensor and a Manifold Pressure sensor plus the S/D software for the ECU.

Hello guys I know some people can say something about my decision but I want to end up this process. I have 2G ECU (1999) in my 1G. My problem is about dying after start. Car is cranking and starting, after 3 seconds I hear click sound from MPI relay and it dies: (Finally I connected to ECU via Evoscan and there is no DTC.)

I think 1999 ECU’s do not have immo and I did not only wire to fuel solenoid valve because pin was different.

What do you think about my issue? Thanks.

There is no immobilizer in the 2g ECU, what car is your ECU from?
The 2g Spyder is different from the normal hard top 2g when it comes to how the MPI relay is triggered.

I am not sure but I found article about convertible ECU fuel pump. It does not look like my issue. some transistors removed on this ECU for fuel pump problem. I bought blackbox ECU maybe problem is that. I have green top CAS.

I was thinking about same thing. Can I do from fuel pump check connector?
By the way, I am doubting about pin 13. It's free now. Do I have to connect it to somewhere?

I am searching article on this forum @steve I read the steve's articles I think ECU can not get pulse from CAS and it's dying. I have green top CAS. By the way, I bought brand new black top CAS also. I am waiting it.

If ECU gets pulse from CAS and it orders to give 12v from pin 13 and car works. I think it's working like that. I am sick and tired at the end I will buy ECMLink but I made huge effort for this, I wish I could see it work.

I don't know much about this ECU but what about the fact the 2g has a crank and cam position sensor seperate, wonder if this would have any play on this?

The 1G CAS is able to provide the correct signals to run the engine on a 97-99 ECU, but you have to wire in the inputs from it to the ECU separately for the crank position sensor and cam position sensor to provide the signal to the right ECU pins. The 97+ ECU is a little more picky though if the signal isn't perfect. The issue with the incompatible CAS is only when using either a 95-96 style CAS or ECU with the other (CAS or ECU) being from a 1G or 97+.

I would wonder if this blackbox ECU might have been taken from a convertible (they trigger the fuel pump relay a different way) but the symptoms to me describe a misaligned cam sensor signal to the ECU. This situation perfectly describes how the ECU shuts down the engine to avoid piston to valve contact when the timing belt breaks.

I was doubting about convertible ECU but I did research it's not. If you look at pictures you will see that.

So your opinion is adding a crank sensor? If it's, I don t think I will do it. I wish I bought a Evo ECU I never thought it will be trouble for me.

I can flash and read the ECU and there is no DTC (from Evoscan)

I'm betting you didn't wire the crank position input on the ECU to the output from the CAS.
