K, i have everything ready to be installed for my blueleds. Now here's the thing. LEDS are a directed light source are they not? while the stock emits liht in every direction....so naturally the leds will have dark spots right? is there a way around this?

NEXT, I went to Radio Shack and they told me they only carry one type of LCD. It's a 5mm, 5v, 1000mcd. I realized 1000mcd is low, but am I capable of using these for my HVAC? Please help.

Yes they have dark spots, they are directed the brightest, just try to point the led whenre the light comes out is what i did.

it will work, yes it will work for the hvac too, any 5 mm led will work, 1000mcd is still a bright led

Has anyone changed the color of their gauges - not the stock ones but aftermarket. Boost, a/f, egt, etc.
So that all of the stuff on the dash lights up in the same color?

So you can actually take apart, say, Autometer gauges and switch up the lighting source?

THAT would be bad arse

Any trick to it?

no no no no no no, take out the bulb of the origonal housing, for the bulb and put aan led in there with a 330 resistor..... thats what i did

He should send me all the money he got for selling that crap
are you kidding me????? 24.99 and shipping for 1 fackin led and a 10 min install??????????? ummm go to radio shack, how about 3.99 and you still have to do it yourself...

i was so afriad i was gonna see some blue neon, but instead saw a really sweet and clean setup instead!

looks cool man, your work (which sounds like a pain in the ass!) definetly paid off.

[Dont BOTHER WITH the A/C button... there is NO Room in there... i broke mine and had to go find a new one..

HEy..
I wanted to let you know that we figured out how to get the a/c switch working..

You'll need a Dremmel, but it's really easy to do. I placed the resistor near the edge of the circuit board and soldered one end to the existing solder joint for the negative pin for the socket. You will have to cut a slot in the plastic housing to match so that the resistor will clear when you slide the switch into the plastic housing, but it wont affect the operation of the switch. As for the negative, I used an empty hole right next to the contact for the original bulb.

I don't know if all Autometer gauges are lighted the same way, but with my Z series gauges the bulb just plugs into the back of the gauge. Autometer even gives you a couple colored bulb covers that you can put in to change the color. No need to take anything apart.

Dude what language are you speaking???? I cant even understand that???

Be more specific, what wires are you talking about??? The hvac wires?
cause in the switches you solder directly to the board....

let me know
