Like the title says, it was 15* BTDC......of coarse i adjusted it back to 5* BTDC.

My question is, even though it ran fine, could i have hurt anything?

if i was you id get down on my knees and kiss the knock sensor and thank it for saving the motor

when you advance base timing that much your motor runs out of safety margin, so if you got a lot of knock it wouldnt have been able to back off enough on the timing and youd detonate. I dont think the knock sensor would save you if you got bad knock, but at least you're car is fine.

This was an NT to turbo swap.......i haven't run anymore than 10 psi.......OH THANK YOU KNOCK SENSOR

sure it would have.. knock retards timing quite a bit. 43 counts will put you well into the single digits for timing, i've even seen almost negative timing. Knock sensors are life savers.. or should i say rod savers
