I need to know how to synchronize the timing on my logger to the timing on the cover because its way off, my logger reads 18-20 at idle but my actual base timing is 5-7 degrees.

well the logger will assume you already have 5* base timimg. doesnt matter if you have it at 10* or even -10* BTDC, your logger will always assume its 5*. the timing you are reading at idle is timing ADVANCE, not base timing.

get a timing light, do the proper base timing setting procedure and set it to 5*.

you adjust your "BASE" timing with the CAS and a timing gun, what you see on the logger is ignition timing advanced past base timing by your ecu

I've already set my base timing to 5 degrees w/timing light but I need to know how to make the logger display the actual timing. I've tried using the base timing offset feature but the logger still reads 18-19 at idle.

that seems a little high for idle....

my car idles with anywhere from 7-11 degrees of advance.

where does your car idle?
how much airflow are you seeing at idle on your logger?
what percentage is your throttle at on your logger?

maybe you have a leak or your throttle cable is too tight and is open slightly.
