Few questions from a dsm noob

Okay so I'm thinking about purchasing a project car from someone near by, it's a 91 talon tsi, he told me that there is a oil leak in the front cover. But he assures me the cam seals and oil pump were replaced, any suggestions, how serious and hard is this to fix? Another this he said is when the car is hot it has a hard time starting. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to throw in your .02$ I'm new too dsms and just came over from Hondas.

You might try checking/replacing the fuel pressure solenoid valve. On hot starts the ECU activates it to raise fuel pressure to avoid vaper lock.

Is that a pretty extensive job to replace?

No, 2 minutes, remove 2 vacuum hoses, unbolt the old, bolt in the new, reattach hoses.
