what years and what models are 7 bolt and which are 6 bolt?
also when swapping a 1g tsi engine into a 2g awd tsi car, are there any changes than swapping it into a 2g fwd tsi?
cause my friend has a 92 fwd tsi, with way to much power. breaks the tires loose at 3kish in 1st and 2nd at not even full throttle, and then breaks in 3rd closer to 4k. but he is selling his car. There is no reason to buy it, if i can't get traction anyway, and i have a 95 awd tsi...so i was thinking of buying the car and swapping engines, and then selling the 1g with the 2g engine for like 1k or something small. but the main idea is to get his engine into my car, cause i will havea little bit of traction.
also, how strong is 2nd gen tranny and drivetrain(half shafts, diffs, etc.)
