GVR-4 fans run all the time when the key is in the on position

Just as the title says it my radiator fans will keep running when my key is in the on position. They will also kick on even when I come out the next morning to warm up my car could anybody help me out what would be causing this any input will be appreciated thanks guys

Ok, I will try to help so you say fans? I will assume both fans are running at the same time correct? You have 2 fans one is the Radiator fan and the other is the A/C Condenser fan. You have 2 separate relays that turn on each fan as needed. According to the factory service manual wiring diagram they are both tied into the Condenser Fan Motor High-Low Change Over relay.

Now, if you look over on the drivers side back to the rear of the firewall just behind the strut tower you will see a black box with a cover over it. The cover has labeled on the top of it which is what relay to that specific location. Lift up on the cover and inside of that you will see the relays that operates those fans. The square relay that is closest to the strut tower is the Condenser Fan Motor High-Low Change Over relay itself. The round looking one just beside that is the Condenser fan motor motor relay. The last round relay you see in-line with those is the Magnet clutch relay.

I would suggest that you swap the relays out and see if that shuts the fans off. If it does not shut them off then will have to look further into the wiring to see if you have some wires rubbing together perhaps cross feeding current to that circuit. Your task is to swap the relays and see if that solves your problem. If it doesn't post back and will figure out your next area to troubleshoot.

Oh I am sorry i have another question. How much do these cost, because if they are not to hard on the wallet i will just buy some new ones and just replace them anyways. so i dont have to to worry about them going out anytime soon. Where could i get these at would oreillys sell them or would i have to go to the dealership to get these or anybody has some used ones the could sell that are in good condition.
