Is it possible to put an external wastgate on the e16g with internal already, if so how and what kind

I'm not completely sure about this, so if I'm wrong somebody feel free to correct me.

I think that if you buy an exhaust manifold with an external wastegate flange and then you put a wastegate on it you can use that as long as you disconnect the original wastegate actuator from the turbo so that it will remain closed all of the time. This is obviously not as good as getting a turbo without an internal wastegate because of the friction inside the turbo caused by the port being in there.

The only reason I can think of that you would want to do this would be because you're having boost creep, so a better move would be enlarging your current wastegate and/or dumping your wastegate to atmosphere.

Hope this helps.

If you're asking if its possible to get rid of the internal that is already on there and port the whole out and put on a external, then yes you can.

There are many different external gates, look around.

I've never seen anybody run both, or if its even possible...

All you have to do is block off and weld the internal wastegate port and then either go with a external off the collector of the exhaust manifold(really the best place) off the 1rst runner usualy the most common or off the o2 housing. If you decide to do the first two you will need to get custome weldingv done to your manifold or get a new to go off the o2 housing all you need is a o2 housing setup for external.

If you do it this way, you would need to weld the flapper in the turbo shut so it will not blow open.

I am having severe boost creep which is why I want to do this what is the easiest way to go and where can i find the pieces at, I would rather not have to buy a new exhaust manifold because I just bought the dnp race manifold
