OK I have searched the threads and the one question I have that seems to get different answers is, I am planning on installing a external wastgate onto the o2 housing, but I am not sure if I need to remove the flapper from the inside of my e16g or weld it shut I have seen both ways in the different threads which is the best and correct way (thanks for any help)

If I have to take it out then should I have the hole ported out to help it flow better or leave it how it is.

You need to remove the flapper if you're running the wastegate on the O2 housing. You only weld it shut if you're running the wastegate from the manifold.

After you remove it, you'll most likely want to port it a little. This will ensure maximum exhaust bypass to remove all chances of boost creep in the future.

Man you have like 5 threads going on one subject. Maybe you weren't aware of this but you aren't the only person on this forum that has had boost creep, or wants to use an external wastegate. Which means that other people have asked these questions before and more experienced people have answered these questions.

I'm sure you didn't know this (because if you did you would have done it) but if you type words like "external wastegate" and "boost creep" into the little search box and click "GO" it will provide you with hours and hours of exciting information.
