Experience With Combining Higher Intake Cams & Lower Exhaust Cams?

I've seen a few individuals experimenting and utilizing such combos as 280 Intake and 272 Exhaust (280/272). I have not, however, seen anyone use a 272/264 combo. At any rate, does anyone have experience with testing these combos? Maybe Kevin? Usually we see the opposite used (and sold from vendors/shops) such as a 264/272 or 272/272 etc.

I think part of the reason people usually use a bigger exhaust cam on these engines is because the exhaust savaging isn't that great. The head on the exhaust side is more restrictive than the intake. add to that the turbo is another exhaust restriction. Good luck, but I have yet to see anyone try larger intake than exhaust and it work better. (thats why the 1000hp guys use things like fp5 intake/ fp11 exhaust)
