exhaust leak help

Sup guys, well short an simple I was driving around and when I tryed to go into boost, it sounded like alot of air was coming out of the exhaust somewhere. So I looked all over and its not coming out of the exhaust manifold, IDK about the back of the turbo but the front came up negative an the downpipe is good. Anyone have any ideas where alot of air would come out on the exhaust side of the turbo an not let me go into boost??? thanks guys foxtrot 1 out

i would do a boost leak test....it may or may not be your exhuast...

if you dont have a boost leak tester just make one cost like 10 bucks.....if you need any help on making one let me know..

Yea I made one, but when I parked it an revved it up, it sounds like an exhaust leak but also i'm thinking your right cause its a loud SHHHHHH noise an when i get into like 1lb of boost its like louder then ever. So im gonna do that tommorow thanks an let me know if u can think of anything else exhaust wise

probably a boost leak...i experienced what i would say was a similar sound when my mbc line came off from the jpipe =X

Exhaust leak (at least the one I had) sounds a lot more like a pissed-off popcorn popper if it's just one of the runners, or loose manifold/turbo bolts. How I always knew it was time to pull off the heat shield and re-tighten the bolts; weak-feeling boost, and poppity-poppity noises like a Honda.

Hiss sounds more like a boost or vac leak.

In the experiences I've had, you can hear an exhaust leak all the time, not just under boost. I'm betting it's a boost leak.
