Exhaust Leak?

When my old 14b blew oil I had alot of oil shooting through the turbo seals and into the o2 housing and downpipe. I know this because the flex section on my downpipe would get soaked in oil and start dripping after I ran the car for a few minutes? Do you guys think that there is a hole in the downpipe? I know that this sounds like a stupid question and there probably is a hole there but I am praying that there isnt one


Would this also be the cause for my current problem. The car starts and idles fine but when I attempt to give it any gas, it hesitates for a second and sounds as if it wants to die and then "catches" itself and revs.

Are you sure the oil pan isnt leaking onto the DP? Usually if oil is getting into the exhaust it bets burnt right away, and you will see blue smoke out of the tailpipe.

you said your turbo blew oil right. oil can get through to the down pipe. it might have cause your sensor to go bad also witch would explain your hesitation. have your replaced your turbo seince you blew oil?

Are you getting a CEL? Also make sure your oil pan is not dripping oil onto the downpipe. You should be able to hear exhaust leaks. Or run a small amount of seafoam through it and watch for smoke leaking out.

Maybe is a good time to get a new e3 16G from forced performance. They are having a sale for $499. I don't think I ever seen it cheaper than this.

Yes i have replaced the turbo. Went to a 50 trim.

Tonight I am going to replace the 02 sensor on the o2 housing and see if that fixes it. I was definitely blowing oil through the downpipe. It was not the oil pan, I triple checked that. I am thinking that the o2 sensor got coated in oil.
