I just installed evoscan 2.9 and when I go to log my car. It say's there's an overload and disconnects. Anyone ever encounter that problem. It was reading fine the other day.

Also I read a post here bout a year ago and now I can't find it. How do I get my computer to read elg files. Anyone know a download site without install that speedy pc thingy.

I ran into the same problem except mine all of a sudden said less than 5v on cable. Its really annoying and I got so frustrated I went back to the keydiver eprom ecu. I would like to run the ecuflash/evoscan but I keep getting that stupid message.

ELG files are ECMLink files. Download the program from their website.

As for EvoScan v2.9. It's nice, but it seems a bit buggy.

Uninstall it and try installing it in its own directory, not in the Program Files directory. Something like C:/Tuning/EvoScan/

I tried this and it worked and then all of a sudden it stopped. Ive unistalled it and reinstalled it atleast 4 times now and still get the same results. Is there something special I need to do?

Hmmmm... Not sure what to try next. I've only used the new v2.9 a couple times so far. I've been having trouble reading CELs.

I'd recommending going back to v2.8 if you're having trouble. While all the new live data display features are nice, getting accurate readings in the first place are more critical.

I'm curious. I have yet to use that Power and Torque measuring feature. It say load vehicle preset. What car do we choose? Cause it don't say dsm or eclipse or gst.

Try to log again. It says:
Arithematic operations resulted in an overflow.

edit:
That's weird. Worked for a few seconds then died again.

try and untick some data items, there might be some formulas on one of the items causing the overflow error, not overload as the subject suggests . overflow means that you tried to divide a number by zero, or gone over the maximum allowed value. EvoScan v2.9 is waay better than v2.8. I use a 95DSM and 12pin cable for EvoScan v2.9 testing. Yeah exactly . Hey Knochgoon do you know if its possible to use the OP2.0 cable and evoscan with the eprom ecu just for logging purposes?

I'm told you can log them, but it's very very slow. Like 10 samples/second instead of 180. I myself haven't tried. I used a 1.3U cable to datalog a 97 ECU for a bit, and the speeds were like the 98/99's.

Oh ok. Im going to try the freelancer guy in the classifieds once I get a base tune but Ive been having so many complications with it. An actual tune should be a major improvement over the keydiver chip correct?

How do you log power and torque? When I click on it, nothing shows! Or do I need a 2.0 cable?

You need to have a section in the log with TPS > 80%.

Alt + Print Screen then I paste it into MSPaint.

This captures whatever Windows is in the forefront and in focus at that moment.

Just pressing PrtScn takes a shot of your entire screen(s).

I ask because at work I just press print screen and it works. I couldn't figure it out for my laptop.

i know this is an old post but mines stop working too. i was on the 2.7 for the longest. work perfect and i flash another rom into my ecu to see if it works( it works wonder) but now my evoscan wont read anymore. help
