Our Spyder has a ‘99 GSX black box ecu, tuned by a local tuning shop, using some Ceddy mods, connected with an Open Port 2.0 cable.

A few years ago, we downloaded EVOScan versions 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 & 2.9. Occassionally we will connect the laptop to monitor the engine health. However, we can’t get EVOScan to connect to the black box in any version other than 2.7.

Normally, a newer version of a program is improved and offers better connectivity and more features. Are there significant differences between the versions? Is 2.7 the latest version that will work with our ‘99 ecu?

Update: We removed versions 2.5 and 2.6 from the laptop since they were not needed.

Still would like to know the differences in 2.8 and 2.9 vs. 2.7.

Anyone?

Can't tell you what the differences were unfortunately. I have always used v2.9 though if that helps at all. I take it that evoScan opens but just when trying to open the MUT protocol connection with your openport it just fails?

Correct. Thank you for your feedback. Now that the EVOScan website is working again, we can try reloading 2.9 to see if some of the files had become corrupted during system updates.
