General ECU versions

Which numbers?

There are numbers on the EPROM chips that indicate the version of the software. For example the 1990 Federal Manual Turbo FWD ECU MD128625 had two versions of the EPROM software E705 and E705A. I've seen both but never copied the E705 version so I can't say what was different.

On the 95 MD312464 ECU with EB23 software there are at least 5 different versions of EB23 A-E

I ask with numbers because there are different versions of the ECU part numbers too, like MD128625 and MD128625A. We typically don't list the last letter on the ECU part number because the meanings change from year to year.
