Hey Guys,

I got a question regarding the water lines on an EVOIII 16G.
How do you know which is feed and which is return? Is there anyway to tell on the turbo?

I found this in the VFAQ and was wondering if 16G follows the same setup as the T25?
"The water feed line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the engine (shown here bracketed in pink lines). The water return line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the radiator."

Thanks guys!!

Thanks, I read that before and all it says is:
"Install water lines onto the turbo. (TS - on the 2G 14B install I worked on, we left the back water line on the turbo and it was already in the correct spot to attach the rubber line after cutting the rubber hose shorter. We cut the mounting bracket off of the T25 front water line, and bolted it to the turbo facing downward, and it came out under the turbo next to the wastegate actuator. Bending it a little got it to line up with the water line on the engine, the rubber hose required no trimming to match up to the 2 lines.)"

I know how to install the water lines, my question is:

"How do you know which is feed and which is return (on the turbo)? Is there anyway to tell on the turbo?" Does the 16G follows the same setup as the T25?
"The water feed line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the engine (shown here bracketed in pink lines). The water return line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the radiator."

Anyone able to shed some light on this for me?

What the hell are you talking about? If you hooked up the water lines the way the VFAQ says, it will work just fine. Look at the diagram on the VFAQ, it shows which lines are the feed and return. What's your problem?

I'm NOT asking how to hook up the water lines. The VFAQ is very helpful there.

I'm asking how do you know ON THE TURBO which "inlet hole" is water feed and which "inlet hole" is water return. - a simple question. I guess I wasn't clear enough?

Is it the same setup as the T25 or opposite? (i.e.: "The water feed line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the engine. The water return line is the line on the side of the turbo facing the radiator.")

and what's my problem? I never knew posing a question was a problem? Isn't that what this forum is for? Posing questions and getting answers? not getting "attitude". If you think my question is stupid or idiotic - don't reply

My problem is that I don't want to hook this turbo up incorrectly. I want to ensure the proper feed and return line are hooked up to the proper inlets. That's my problem

Its the same orientation as the T25. You should be able to re-use the stock lines with a little modification. I just did the opposite, put a T28 on a 1G and the 14B water lines were a direct bolt on to the T28.

Thanks!! The answer I was looking for:
"Its the same orientation as the T25"
