So I have been running my EVOIII 16G for over a year and have nothing bad to say. Spool is good for DD, good gas mileage ect. Now I bought a AGP Turbonetics 60-1 Turbo in July but I got a good deal on it that I really couldn't refuse.
I have read a lot of post on this Turbo and they go both ways some say it's a good turbo and others say it's junk for reliability (mainly moderators) in past post. Now the DSMer I bought the turbo from had it since 2007 with no problems and put down 399 H.P at 21 P.S.I which I understand is not where this turbo even shines at yet. He had told me many people blew this turbo up due to the oil drainage not being sufficient. Could this be true?
Realisticly I have my car set-up for drag racing and want some more top-end pull for lower E.T's. Really my question is would I be better off getting a 50 trim to keep some of my D.D characteristics and for some more power or run this 60-1. Calculating Airflow per rev in link I estimate 308 H.P my new goal for this year is a solid 400-425 being on the stock bottom end.
