Big 16G or the FP EvoIII?

I am wondering which would be the better turbo to go with, a FP Big 16G or the Evo III? Is the Evo III internally gated? What supporting mods will I need with either setup. I am already planning DSM link and MAFT setup. I know I need an upgraded full pump and injectors, but what size? Already have 2.5" exhaust from turbo back, hi-flow cat, EVOIII o2 housing & FP rewire.

The walbro 255 and 550cc injectors would be a perfect set up for you. I have the EVO3 ported/clipped along with the O2 pipe and manifold and I absolutely love the set up. It's very powerful and with your DSMlink, you'll definetly make some good power )provided you get a good tuner(

I see at Forced Performance they have the option to port with 34mm/WG on the big 16G but not on the EVO is that because the EVO already has the better wg?

just SEARCH.

even search on SBR's site where they compare the b16G to an e316G. the e316G has a larger exducer/inducer, lighter composite turbine housing, among other things. you can have the option of porting and getting a 34mm wastegate flapper for either turbo.

also, since you are on the quest to upgrade.. please read the thread about the EVO III GT turbo. As i'm sure you will come across it in your search. if you don't read carefully enough, i'll give you a tip.. it's not an MHI unit. but that's up to you if you care or not.

I'd go with the FP18g for $429, then buy either a used ported 7cm for $100 or a Bullseye housing for $200.
