i started off having a boost leak that grew, started giving me major fuel cuts at around 4k rpms.

did a boost leak test to find out the seals inside the throttle body were shot, so unbolted it and the elbow and removed them.
the 14b was fried so i had to remove the FMIC core and piping and clean out the oil lined inside.
heat shields the whole shebang.

used gas for that, flushed with HOT water to remove the petrolium residue

drained the fluids. now time to remove the manifold and downpipe.
got to the water lines and oil feed lines, unbolted them

waiting on the fedex guy for my 16g install gasket kit

had trouble breaking the bolts on the o2 housing, heatwelded themselves<

went from

Yeah you need to add the pictures. If they are already posted somewhere just copy the direct link and paste it into the button that has a yellow mountain on it.

WTF is that a stock downpipe???? You have a good list of mods, why would you keep the most restrictive thing in the entire system? Everything else looks good though.

FMIC's like that seem pretty ineffiecient...just looking at it i would say with a path of least resistence that your losing..at least half the cores potential due to the inlet and outlet being exactly level with each other. granted you will see the pressure drop not as severe. I see so many aftermarket IC like that...only been able to find a few companies with either bottom to top inlet/outlets that are opposite or gradual ( middle mounted) inlet /outlet.

nice turbo though...im thinking of doing the same set up for my car...let me know how she runs

got my gaskets the other day so today i put it on. N ran into so many problems so tomor i have to unbolt everything to fix the probs.

1st prob is i changed the fuel filter come to find out whoever changed it before me (looks like they did) didnt use 2 wrenches so it twisted the fuel line under the filter, so i cut out the twist and put a brass feral coupler. well, it didnt hold the pressure... so im buying and installing a new main line tomor.
2nd prob, forgot to tighten the oil feed line on top the turbo, well im sure you can guess what happened.
3rd prob, the oil feed line at the head was seeping oil slowly after a good drive before the install, taking the bolt out stripped the threads inside the head(owner before must of not had it in the right way). so going to do a helicoil. hoping i dont get the metal shavings in there being i have to drill the hole... not sure if it the best way to fix it, but it sounds correct.

so me being excited after the install i was quick to start her up and see whats going on under the hood.
did so, shut her off in a hurry because i was spewing oil n gas everywhere.. IM PISSED... or just disappointed i have to wait a little while longer to drive her.
but "with a greater challenge, you grasp a greater triumph, oh how sweet the pain of my knuckles punching the block with all my weight only makes me love her more.. PAIN IS LOVE."

ill leave another comment tomor, to tell yall how everything worked out.

have to do them oil lines right. trust me, i payed the price. my feed line was slowly leaking and burning up. so didnt realize i had a leak. I think you know what happend next.

oo, yea... oils so fun to clean up.... WHEN ITS EVERYWHERE EVEN ON THE BOTTOMSIDE OF THE HOOD...
I just bought a helicoil kit n im fixing that today.. along with tighteng down the bolts i left out for last... n getting the fuel line tomorrow..
so mon,, I SO HOPE....
