Evo steering wheel in a 1g with functional evo horn using stock parts.

Overview:

We will take an evo 8-9 steering wheel with the dsm adapter hub already installed in the evo wheel and be removing the 1g steering wheel horn contact ring with the plastic and installing it on the evo wheel to have a functioning horn.

There are other write ups on installing a dsm hub in an evo wheel.

Tools Recommended:

• Screw drivers, torx, sockets, ratchets, nut drivers, etc. (basic hand tools)

• Fine tooth coping saw or hack saw
• Various sand paper sheets 100-120 grit will work
• Something to measure depth with like a 6" pocket rule
• Drill and drill bits

What you need

• Evo steering wheel with dsm adapter already installed
• 1g steering wheel or just the 1g plastic cover with the horn contact ring

Safety Precautions:

You will be using multiple different tools that can poke, cut, mangle, and/or damage yourself and/or others to the point of even causing death. If you don't know how to properly use tools, understand the risks, and be able to protect yourself then don't do it. Any damages or losses you incur due to doing this is your own responsibility.
