Evo 9 pistons and rod assembly?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

As mentioned above, stay stock, or go with a built shortblock. Evo guys put rods through the block over 400ft/lbs.

Not to mention cost. By the time you buy some evo rods/Pistons, have the block honed, buy rings, and put everything together, you're only a few hundred short of a basic eagle/wiseco combo.

alright, i'm looking for a semi build. I've heard that the stock evo 9 pistons do come forged and the rods are a little thicker. Hence why i was looking at an evo 9 setup. so does anyone know what they go for? thanks not looking to change setup :D

This has been covered in here before. The 8s are cast and 9 are forged and the difference is in that thread. I will see if i can find it. Have a search incase you find it first

Oh i see. I was never 100% sure but i did read that thread ages ago and as i dont know i assumed it was correct info
