dont want to insult your skills, but I wonder if you timed your shafts correctly. I agree with others. you werent over powering the friction material. so something caused a premature failure. there is no sign of heat or slip from the pics.

I run a race shaft oil pump side. Na I don't take it as an insult, when stuff like this happens I always figure it out with that being said I have the new twin in the car just need to button all back up.

So i see you want to argue. Where did I say in any post above the race shaft helps my oil pump? And yes there were sever signs of heat due to slipping. As stated before the clutch held nice once installed after beating on it it crapped out, it appears act has a few bad batches of clutches out there from the reading I have been doing. Ironically the southbend clutch disc didn't fall off as seen in the video it just gave up as well. I have seen a lot of dyno sheets on these car but I have almost never seen any put out over 600lbs torque this is why these single disc clutches are taking a crap on my setup but problem solved.

It makes no sense to run the RACE machined down balance shaft. I only brought it up because you stated you were still running balance shafts. a machined down shaft no longer cancels the engine harmonics it is designed to cancel. so its no longer a working balance shaft. I dont have data on what vibrations occur when you run rear shaft shaft only but I have felt engines that ran a disconnected from shaft when the belt broke. those engines vibrate.

There is no heat from slip in either of your clutch discs in your video. there is some signs of damage on the pressure plate from when the disc was driven in its destroyed state. But you are putting the cart before the horse. the clutch was holding fine before the it lost all that friction material. you are claiming heat from slip caused the friction to come apart. I am saying after the friction came off it would damage the pp like you see here. either way you clearly havent seen what a flywheel and pp surface looks like when ceramic material is not holding the power.

your single disc problem is solved. you now have the twin disc problems to battle. hope it works well for you.

To the readers is they saw what the single disc is capable of now they will see what the twin is capable of. Then most can choose a clutch based on the information provided here.

Jerry, he's kind of an idiot. A 3200 and 6 puck is a serious clutch. Jesus i street drive on a 2600 and put down mid 10s slips and don't kill them like that. If he does the same with a twin he will kill it quickly too.

everyone has different experiences and skill levels. I had a local here that burnt up twin on his first drag race. someone told him he needed to get some heat in it. he slipped the clutch enough pre drag to actually kill it. some can pilot one clutch to low 11s while the next cant get same clutch to hit the 13s. in short driver mod is huge for clutches.

it's interesting you say Ole that mean you do recognize that it's been around for a while. Yep that was a year ago on the south bend clutch the same transmission y'all said would not last guess what it's had taken abuse like that often and is still rock solid the way I am impressed every time I see that video that means I built the transmission right. Lol

Update. I got a little break in my schedule and finished up the twin disc install I roughly have about 112 miles on the clutch and its still in the breakin stage. So far I am pleased pleased pleased happy happy happy! Super nice clutch.

Not yet the eclipse is resting I have been occupied with three other high horsepower projects. The twin turbo g35 is getting all the attention at the moment

Took the eclipse to the half mile this past weekend and in the middle of the night someone tried to steal it they fled when they couldn't get it off the trailer. Cut my tire when they cut the strap.
