2G Building my Evo 1 transmission

You are going to need to change the shift selector arm for a 2G DSM arm.

If you have two good center diff spider gears PM me, I could use them.

The rest of the transmission will hold up fine, it is the tallest ratio 1st/2nd gearset available, then has the close ratio 3rd/4th, and tall 5th.

I am assuming you are using the 64 tooth front diff ring gear and matching output pinion shaft? Or are you going to install the taller ratio USDM AWD final drive? If you have not purchased the speedo gear for the front diff, I have about 50 in stock from the batch I had manufactured.

The evo 1 uses a large diameter single synchro, it does not need double synchros. The hub is a forged steel hub for all hub and sliders with a sturdy enough slider on 3/4 that it shouldn't have issues. You already have forged steel shift rail ends and 1 piece steel 1/2 fork.

I'll be back at work on January 3rd. I can put together a quote if you give me a complete detailed list of all parts you need.

Also, heads up you will need to do AWD front axles and halfshaft with a bracket that matches your engine block. You cannot use the 2g FWD axles.

You should also be using a Quaife QDH8B 25 spline diff. If you are intending on doing a Quaife QDH7B 27 spline FWD diff in the AWD bellhousing you will need to have it machined for the proper left side axle seal, and the case will need the bellhousing bore machined 0.037" deeper (you can go deeper and then do a shim to adjust height too, but thats more work), so you can use the MD710663 tapered roller bearings and make it all fit. If you are doing 27 spline FWD aftermarket DSS axles, you will need a custom right axle with narrow CV boot so that it doesn't rub the CV boot clip against the bearing plate and gear cluster case section.

As you can see from the details, this is something I have dealt with before.... :)
