I was searching the faqs and couldn't find anything but i was looking into the jeff O chip and was wondering how can i find out if my 1990 awd ecu is eprom or not...? are there any numbers or letters on the ecu the specify's an eprom from non eprom or different years in different models...?

I dont know if its much different, but in my 2G I didnt even need to remove the ecu, just the passengers side plastic console cover thing and was able to squeeze in there and see the E on it. I thought 99% of 1G were eprom?

On '90 ECU's the lack of a letter in the lower right corner of the label denotes a EPROM, this is different than the 91+ where your looking for an E. No most 1G ECU's are not EPROMS.
