2G EPROM ECU?

I need a new ecu and found an eprom for a good price. I plan on getting ecmlink but not anytime soon (4-5 months at least ). So my question is, is it okay to run a 95 eprom ecu in my 98 gsx without ecmlink or until i get it?

you have to swap plug wires around and injectors too i think because of the difference in the cam angle sensor.

What order exactly should they be in? Can anybody confirm this?
