ok, I know this has probably been answered before, but I did a search and couldn't find it. Does a AWD eprom ecu work in a front wheel drive? Also does it differ between a Automatic and a Manual? Are they interchangble?

Yes, an AWD works in a FWD. The only difference is the AWD doesnt have the speed govenor. In a 2g, I dont think theres any difference between an auto and a manaul, both run 450cc injectors. In a 1g automatics use 390cc.

Yea, awd or fwd doesn't matter. Just don't use a 1g in your 2g since the fuel maps march to the beat of a different drum between the two.

Other than fuel maps is there any difference between an auto and man ecu

On a 1g there is because auto 1g turbo's have 390cc injectors and 1g manual turbo's have 450cc injectors. The transmission is run off a TCU that controls it so that's the only difference on 1g's. 2g's are the same.

As everyone has stated..........on a 2G it doesn't matter if it's from and AWD, FWD, automatic or manual..........it just has to be a 95 EPROM ECU.

The only other thing I can think of is I know on 1g's automatic, that the ECU retards the timing durring shifting. Don't know if they do on 2g's, but I've seen chips and ECU's interchanged between them without any problems.
