2G EPROM ECU question

So I just got some 660 denso injectors and a stage 3 keydriver chip for them. Today I got my ECU socketed for the chip.

My question is, can I put the socketed ECU in the car without installing the 660's?

I don't want to run it like that as I have another non EPROM ECU in the car now. I just want to make sure the car will crank and run after the ECU work. I would hate to have to put in the new pump, injectors and ECU, just to have to take them all right back off.

You can run the socketed ecu with the stock chip, and stock injectors. If you put the keydriver chip in with the stock injectors if will run lean.

The only problem is, the stock chip was clipped out and it's in the junk pile now.

I have a non eprom in my car right now. The eprom is my secondary. I just want to make sure it will run after getting socketed because I had it done by a local tv repair shop.

I did the socket at a local computer store a few years ago and they burnt the board. But everwhere is different so the only way to find out is to plug it in and try to crank it.

So that will be ok even if I haven't installed the injectors its programmed for? I don't want to drive it, just make sure it will crank up.
