2G EPROM chip

My buddy just bought an EPROM ECU for a 1g.
It was socketed and had a chip for 2g MAF and 650cc injectors.
I have an EPROM ECU in my 95 GST and I want to get it socketed. Would I be able to use that chip since it was in a 1g EPROM?

I don't believe they are compatible be cause of added features in the 95 up ECU's.

Best bet is to contact ECMTuning directly and check with them.
