Where are the best points to mount an engine hoist on the 6 bolt engine (everything still in place, tranny, head, accessories, etc.)? I am performing an engine swap and need to know where I can connect the hoist so I can lift and not cause any damage to anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you should be able to lift with the manifolds...but I dont trust that myself, I generaly bolt the chain to the block myself

Im doing the same thing. Im looking fro good hoist points to put teh engine back in with the tranny attached, manifolds etc. I dont want to wrap a chain around the block and have the chain rubbing and smashing against the manifiolds. Can someone explain just a bit on where are some good places to attach the chains? Thanks
