^ i have that one and it started bending before it even got the engine in the air. It was bending at the base. I think that material was too thin. I'm having a guy in our machine shop replace it with a thicker plate.

Seriously? I've pulled V8's with transmissions attached with my Harbor Freight hoist, with nothing bending.

I have a generic one like that as well & I defently haven't had any issues with it, the whole thing actually looks pretty beefy to me. Our engine/tranny is a joke for it, I too, have also removed V8 & tranny combo's with no problem & when removing the engine/tranny from a buddies doner Talon, the tranny was caught up & actually lifted the whole front of the vehicle as well & no issues.
