I was looking on Car-parts.com and they have a 1992 Eclipse GS engine for sale. It looks similar to mine. I am thinking its a 1.8L looking at the engine pics. However there is something that makes it a little different looking then say the other 1.8l engine that is on the site.

For example it seems like there is a lot more wiring between the two pieces. The space between where the oil goes and the eci multi looks different on this one compared to the other 1992 1.8l engine vin t from Cali.

If using either engine in a 1990 1.8l, is it a drop and go type replacement? Or are there adjustsment that have to be made? If so can a regular auto mechanic easily see what is needed? By regular I mean a mechanic that replaces engines but does not necessarily rebuild engines. Thanks for any help....
