turbo upgrade for 1.8l turbo:P

guys as you know i have a 1.8lturbo and i have the 14b turbo on there. well do you think a evoIII 16g would be a good upgrade ? at $569 its a good deal but do you think i should go with a different turbo?

not unless you get better internals... how much psi are you running on the 14b ?

i was running 9.5 10 before but i turned it down to like 7-8 i plan to run about the same witht the 16g but i want the quiker spools and a new turbo

well does anybody have else have an 0opinion im only buying 1 new turbo and this is gonna be the one i got my eyes on the evo 3 16g any thing i should think about and later on im gonna go for the evo 3 02 housing but should i be looking at another turbo? 600$ limit? wut do you think?

the 16g is gonna spool up slower then the 14b

ya the 14b will spool faster than the 14b but the evo3 16g will flow more air but if you motor isnt built at all i wouldnt got with a 16g id put the oney into other things the 14b is a great turbo maybe have it ported it would be cheaper than 16g and still help out alot and will spool faster also a free flowing exhaust will help it spool alot faster also. hope that helps some

well the reason i wanted to get a new turbo is because ive had 2 14b's and they were both used and they both made my car smoke so i jus want to get a new turbo and this one has a warrentee on it so thats good i jus wanted a good brand new turbo this turbo is capible of 20psi rite?

ya from what i have read the evo3 16g is a great turbo. you cant run 20 psi untill you build you motor though. not to mention fuel system upgrades. running that on stock would blow it very fast.
