Engine Blown

I just bought a 98 GSX and on my way home then engiine blew. Its a horrible siuation and to make it worse its too far gone to even try rebuilding it.

My question is, where can i get another engine with low milage to replace it? I live in PA.

Also, if i want to go with a brand new engine what are the suggestions? I do want to keep it turbo.

You can get a nice 7 bolt on ebay, or a partout ad on here, or keep an eye on CL. Everyone is going to tell you to get a 6 bolt, but don't waste your money on a 6 bolt. A 7 bolt engine is just fine and usually go for hundreds of dollars less.

How do you know it is too far gone to rebuild?

Check the "Vendor Announcements" for a drop in rebuilt.

Before you buy, check there reviews.

there are re-manufactured blocks out there but it gets expensive quickly. idk how mechanical you are to rebuild your own engine get a new block or buy a used one and have it machined. Idk what happened to your motor so the block might still be good just needs a new head and pistons. I like rebuilding bc then you know whats in it and how its been treated. there are whole engines and parts all over the forum just start looking
