smaller battery for starters... LoL. that thing is huge.

or a battery relocation. it mainly depends on how much work you want to do. a proper wire tuck takes alot of time and extra assorted color same gauge wire. you could also remove the EGR system, but then again it depends on how far you want to go. you may be able to just look at where some wires are mounted and unmount them and move them to a spot further down where it is less visible from the top.

well the car was red before, now it's blue...what did want me to paint the bay blue also?? who cares

Ive seen people do some modifying to the engine harness and tuck the majority of it behind the intake and it helps alot. As for the battery go with a 51 series from a honda they are slimmer and have the CCA to get the car started. As for the engine bay being cleaner. Clean it first get rid of anything unecessary. More=bad Less=good :D

ps the blue wire loom went out in the 90's and yes painting the engine bay to match the car will do wanders. Its possible w the engine in the car just takes alot more preparation

EsigoneT-esi, You've completely gave me a dream. Except i love my p/s, and where did you relocate your coolant overflow?? where are your fuses/relays?

Where did you get that blue radiator hose, and did you anodize or powdercoat all of your parts? Thanks!!

oh yeah, waht are the 2 hoses coming of your valve cover?

samco and aftermarket radiator hoses are different colors... and yes, paint your engine bay the same color. at least everywhere you can get to...

Has anybody cleaned up the fuel rail area by tucking everything under the intake? I spent a few hours in this area and along the firewall and It made a HUGE difference. Sorry for the bad pic quailty theres sooo much more room especially with the Power transistor and coil pack relocate. Best part is I didnt have to do any modifications and reused all the old brackets :)

Im looking to clean up my engine bay while im puttin in my 6 bolt swap. I basically want to just polish up my 2g parts that im using for the swap since the 6 bolt is brand new and shiny. What methods do you guys use to clean up the parts such as the fuel rail the o2 housing, throttle body and other parts im going to use. Thanks in advance and once the swap is coming along ill definetly post pics for your viewing pleasure :D

I bead blast my fuel rail and throttle bodies that I use/sell. Anything aluminum gets bead blasted and anything else gets powdercoated, unless it sees high temps (exhaust mani, o2 housing, exhaust housing on turbo). You can look at the pictures in my gallery (specifically the recent engine picture) to see what all I do with each part. If you want more pictures, let me know.

The parts that see high heat can be painted with high temp paint or even ceramic coated if you wanted (more money).

I used a little Muratic Acid from the hardware store. It cleans up Rust and Corrosion pretty good.

You have to mix it with water. I used 60% Muratic acid and 40% water in a spray bottle. Spray it on and wipe it off the parts.

Sorry for all the tire shine on my plastic/rubber haha.
