Electronic Boost Controller Serving as Guage?

If I buy an EBC such as a profec II or Turbosmart E-boost, will that serve as a boost guage also? A buddy of mine has an e-01 on his Evo and he has used it as a guage. Just wondering if there are any boost controllers that would eliminate the need of an extra guage.

I just don't like the idea of having a ton of Guages to monitor... plus I am not a big fan of buying things twice... Ive been reading up on the advantages of an EBC and figured if I was going that route instead of the MBC I would want to get one that I can use as my boost guage.

Anyone that can comment on how reliable the guage on an EBC would be?

I've got the e-01 and it reads the same as my autometer gauge so i took it out today... no need for multiple gauges

So the e-01 is reliable? If that is the case isn't it a better buy than a profec B then? Given that it can be used as a guage also?
