Electronic Boost Controller as Traction Aide?????

I was thinking of buying an EBC over a MBC so that I could use it as a poor man's Traction Control. I use my GST as my DD as my second car is a Mustang GT Vert with a good bit of money into her. I am slowing building the Eclipse also because it keeps me from wanting to drive the Mustang on a daily basis and it gets better gas mileage. But, I still deal with the occasional snow. I plan on getting snow tires when I get new rims. Can or has anyone used a EBC as a Traction Control Device by turning down the Boost in bad weather? Would this create any problems????

You can't turn the boost below the waste gate spring pressure.
EBC have Scramble boost which could be used as a poor man's traction control.

I've seen it done in GST's before. But usually, if the weather conditions are poor they just don't get on throttle as hard.

It works well limiting slip in lower gears.

Yeah, I will be easier on the gas but, just wanted some added piece of mind/help. I am still trying to get use to the characteristics of a FWD Turbo. I am eventually going to rebuild my tranny with a good LSD. I just want a poor mans Traction Control. Thank you guys for the advice. I am enjoying my DSM and it is fun enough to keep me from wanting to always drive my Mustang. Eventually I will have an AWD project.
