car has been running on 2 cylinders. then it wouldnt fire at all. tested the power transistor and the side that fired cylinders 1&4 tested good, but the side that fired cylinders 2&3 failed the test. so i went to the junk yard and couldnt find a power transistor out of a 1990 so i thought up something and thought it might work.

so this is what i did.

after i wired it as shown, cylinders 1&4 DO NOT fire, but now cylinders 2&3 fire, whats going on ? The transistor isnt bad, i tested it and both side fell withing specs.

Ohh and when i shut the key off quickly cylinders 1&4 WILL SPARK

I had that problem when My neighbor rewired my main harness completely wrong. It has to be a wiring issue. What exactly did you do? What parts are 90 and what parts are 91+?

well in my case i didnt wire anything wrong, i double & triple checked all of that. and i have a 1993 coilpack, cam sensor & power transistor.

and no i do not need to switch pins on the ECU just because i have 93 parts on it. car has been running like this for over a year now.
