So I was driving down the road yesterday to pick my wife up from work and my car starts chugging. I was kinda low on gas and my first thought was sh*t i ran outta gas. I have gas LOL but it was kinda like before where my alternator went bad. Gauges were all over the place. All electrical shut off came back on twice for 2 secs each time as I was rolling. Then didnt come back on and the engine slowly died. I have no power what so ever. I have a new battery, new terminals, new alternator. I checked my fuses they look alright. Mabe its a relay??

Just throwing an idea out there: If you have a nice sound system running, with multiple subwoofers and a big amp, they could be eating lots of power from the battery. But most likely your wiring is faulty and the current isn't being carried to the various electrical parts of your car.

This happened to my girlfriends 2001 gs. Turned out the mechanic didn't plug the new alternator in. Start from the battery and work out. Could be as simple as a loose plug.

Sounds like your alternator could of craped on you, how new? Is it oem alternator or a reman from auto parts store, because sometimes it a hit or miss with reman alternators. I've been through about 4 remandfactored alternators in 2 years. Look at all fuses and alternator fuse. If the battery is dead charge it and test with a multi meter to see if the alternater is supplying power to the battery it should be at around 14 volts if not its trashed.

Check all Ground, Well, Don't just check them, Remove them, clean the area and bolt it back, this is just to make sure that the ground is good, also check your cables, Some times they seem to be good, but inside is all corroded, If it is corroded, replace it, Do the same thing with the + cable.

Once you do that, report back the results and we go from there.
