so im not able to make any changes or setting mods on how i want my afr or anything else?

No. But luckily what you have is an ECU with a chip that can be removed, the board can be socketed and you can buy ECMLink, which in essence is a reprogrammable chip.

There are other options for ECU chips, but I am unfamiliar with what else is available since Jeff doesn't sell keydiver chips anymore. I have heard of Ostrich or Jackal or something like that though...

If you don't want to upgrade chips, then get an SAFC and datalogger to tune your car.

I would take the time to research ECMLink. I have heard that it is amazing and you will wonder what life was without it.

I just bought it and I was unlucky enough to not have an eprom ECU. ECMTuning has my ECU right now and I eagerly wait for it to come back so I can see what all the hype is about.

U got lucky bro, you dont even need to pay the extra 150 for the conversion. My 97 gst had to be converted. Little over 700 for the whole deal with link v3full. Worth every damned penny, go with link, its an amazing piece of software.
